Hi, welcome to the Biting Directory. Here, you'll find people who can bite or you can find people to bite. Just ping me to be added to either list or to be taken off. I add anybody who wants to be added, as we'll have a greater chance of somebody being around to bite!

SOME THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE YOU PING

1. We aren't mean, so don't be afraid to ping. You're not bothering us!

2. You can only ping ten (10) people at a time. If the first ten don't respond, making another post and ping ten more people or edit your post with spaces. I suggest picking ten random people from a list and not just the first ten.

3. If a person has a hyphen (-) or space in their name, please but their username inside of [ ]s to properly ping them.

4. Please tell us which strain you want. Many of us can bite for multiple strains.

Users with an asterisk (*) beside them need the biting achievement and they would appreciate it if you let them bite you!

Virus (Classic) Biters

To use (since the code for the spoilers are a little wonky when I try to put in the code thing), just quote this post and cut out this bottom part when you stuff this into a new thread. This is assuming that I'm not going to be around to make it myself - which could very well be the case if I have to work late.

Second post should mention the post wranglers just so that the first post doesn't get to cluttered. I've written something here but it can be edited up until Survival.

If somebody is infected, please ping the post wrangler (check the latest couple of pages to figure out who it is) to help them out.


Hello, ! I've edited the first post on the thread (our handy little backup should I not be around on Survival in time to make our biting directory) to include people from our group. This was previous empty but I thought it would be nice to have people in the lists prior to Survival beginning (yes, I realize this is August).

Please check to make sure that I put your name in the right places and let me know if I put you in a strain you don't have, or I missed one of your strains.

If your name isn't on the list, then you are joined us after Survival (welcome!) or you changed your name and I can't remember what it used to be. In this case, please post what you can bite for or tell me what your old name was since I probably still have your strains in my backup file.

Finally, for those of you have been on the directory, do you think that the online/offline note at end is relevant anymore? I originally had it because I used to list everybody who wanted a strain, but somehow we evolved to have people keep careful track of who needs to be bitten. I can't imagine people are in a rush to be added to the biter list, but let me know what you think.

Would this be a good time to talk again about using ping groups?

Thank you for doing this, this is a great idea ^^ I'm listed for every strain I have, except for Fevermore, which I only finished after Survival was over. So you can add me for that one as well, if you want ^^ I also couldn't find myself listed for any strains that I don't have, so as far as I'm concerned, I'm clear.

As for the online/offline listing, I think we could leave it out. Assuming next year goes just as well as this year did, it seems like unnecessary extra work for you =)

For the strains? I feel like this might need its own thread, if you want to make one? Be sure to ping too!

: Agreed, the online/offline can probably go. The wranglers were so good at keeping us updated, I don't think I actually used the first post again after the v1 thread, except when I needed to be bitten.

You can also add me to be able to bite for Butterfly Bruise, Lotus and Virus. This worked amazingly well last Survival! Thanks for all the work you put into this!

: They keep secretly changing the plushie names on us without notification. I've tried to keep Zombie Strain Plushies updated when I notice them breaking our signatures, and (under the spoilers) I've boldfaced the plushie names that don't match up with the strain name precisely (missing/extra spaces, hyphens, apostrophes etc). Mostly they've been going back and adding "Zombie" to all of them. /tangent

Would it be worth it having the pictures of the skins in the first post, so that people can be sure which strain they're asking for? (Either the pics like made in Dressing A Zombie: Fashion Advice, or the plushies).

Im not in the lists yet, but you can add me for blistered hearts, blood rush, boobitis, butterfly bruise, caterkiller, clusterflux, crack head, creeping, freckle fever, Lotus, naked mole wrath, pinkie patch, and virus This worked so well, especially with the post wranglers, it was very helpful Ah, man I can't wait til next survival :)
